Hello Everyone,
This Fall semester the following practice schedules will apply (starting Monday September 1st):
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 1900-2100
Saturday 1300-1500
All practices are to done inside the racquetball courts located opposite the the gym on campus. Should you be new to the university and the location of the racquetball courts is unknown to you, I will be posting a campus map with the location depicted here for convenience. This will be the main meeting/practice location unless there is a notice stating otherwise.
The following dues apply for this Fall semester:
New members 10$ for the semester
Returning members 20$ for the semester (applies to members that have been with the club for at least a couple months in previous semester)
Dues go to pay for more club equipment for sparring, training, etc as well as a practice with a SEUSKF federation kendoist who overlooks our club as our provisional sensei. These practices will occur once every month.
If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me on here or during one of the practices.
As the Fall semester is coming to a start the club will be meeting early next week to discuss the upcoming schedule for the coming months. The practice schedule and any other information regarding the club will be posted as soon as possible.
Hey everyone, hope everyone is having a great summer, here are some news about upcoming SEUSKF tournaments and promotionals:
Dear Sensei, Dojo Representatives, and fellow Kenshi,
Memphis is very excited to be hosting the 25th Annual SEUSKF Tournament and Promotional (through 4.dan) this year on the weekend of October 18-19, 2014!
One piece of information that is not in the registration packet --- Depending on how many participants register for the tournament, it may be necessary to eliminate the Senior Division due to time constraints with the gym. We hope this will not be necessary, but we will send out a notification to everyone as soon as possible if it is necessary to take that step.
Registration deadline for all materials is Tuesday, September 30th, 2014.
Starting from the 29th of March, the Saturday meetings will begin taking place from 1300-1500.
Practice with Maeda sensei from noon till 2pm tomorrow
The club will be meeting today at 8pm at the Student Village circle to head out for dinner at Sapporo. See you there!
The club is planning on going out today, Sunday 26th, to Sapporo at around 9pm.
Important meeting tomorrow (Friday 10th Jan) regarding the club this semester at 18:30.
Practice as usual right after that at 19:00 till 21:00.
