A huge shoutout to Shannon Jones from Daytona State College who is, once again, our Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week! Shannon is a freshman form Maitland, Florida! She was the top NJCAA finisher and finished sixth overall at the Saint Leo Abbey Invitational and posted a 5K time of 19:17:57! Keep up the great work, Shannon!

Give it up for our Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week... Sebastian Hernandez from Daytona State College! Sebastian is a sophomore from Wesley Chapel, Florida! He was the top NJCAA finisher and finished second overall at the Saint Leo Abbey Invitational and posted a 8K time of 25:42:03! Great job, Sebastian!

Jones Leads Falcons at St Leo Invitational
First year runner Shannon Hickey Jones placed sixth in a field of more than 100 runners at the St Leo Invitational to lead the Falcons to a seventh place finish and second among junior colleges.

Falcons Ranked 10th in Nation after Embry Riddle Invite Placing
The women's cross country team placed seventh overall and first among junior colleges at the Embry Riddle Invitational on Sep 17th, good enough for a 10th place ranking in the NJCAA Division II national poll.

Join Daytona State's winning women's DSC Cross Country team!
Daytona State College is looking for females to join their cross country team. See below for details:
-No experience necessary.
-Whether you have run track or cross country, played soccer or another sport, you might find that you have a home with DSC cross country.
-No age restriction in the NJCAA - Daytona State women's cross country was featured in the Washington Post in the fall of 2018 for having three women over the age of 40 on the cross country team. All of them managed to run under 22 minutes for 5K.
-You must be a full-time student taking at least 12 credit hours in the fall. You must be medically cleared by team physicians before the first practice.
