The Robotics Association is a student organization on the Daytona Beach campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

The Robotics Association supports and encourages the growth of smaller organizations within the school. The "sub-teams" of the Association are student groups that work on robotics projects and typically compete in various competitions around the world. Currently the Robotics Association supports 7 student teams that compete in 6 different international competitions.

AVAST YE MATEY! Hear us, students at Embry-Riddle Daytona, there are PIRATES on our shores bringing Hebocon back for Blue and Gold Week!
We're teaming up with ERAU Robotic Warriors to host Hebocon on MARCH 27TH from 7-10pm. Supplies will be provided, but you are invited to show up with your own robot made with trash supplies. Compete for our fabulous pirate prizes!

The RAER teams SUAS and IGVC have been making great progress on their projects. The airframe for SUAS is near completion, with some sweet monokote being applied. IGVC did some preliminary testing for swapping to a white case for the electronics to combat an overheating issue, and were already seeing a 6°C decrease in internal temps!

The semester is in full swing here at Embry-Riddle! Teams are making progress on their projects and we've started a new one of our own. To help our members build up their skills for the workplace we have begun having workshops. Over this weekend we tackled a crash course in ROS, a language very critical in our fields and in our lab.

With the new year and the new semester flying by us already, we'd like to take a moment and reflect on last year.
is prepping for competitions, finishing the airframe.
has been doing testing on new parts and handling an overheating issue in the main chassis, but that drive is looking pretty sweet!

And returned from Australia VICTORIOUS! The Maritime Challenge 2022 Champions! They put in the work, and we couldn't be more proud of them representing . And a huge thanks to Yamaha Outboards for getting RobotX to Australia. Without we would not have been able to travel as we did.
Here is to a new year, and more progress ahead of us!

Izzy Halphen is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering. She is on the mechanical team for RoboSub. She currently is in an internship with VSFS as a web-scraper/python developer. She is very proud to say that her research team has been published by the AIAA.

Abigail Butka is a senior studying Computer Engineering and a first semester Electrical Engineering Master's student. She is currently the NSF team lead, but has also participated in numerous other air, water, and underwater robotics competitions since middle school by utilizing RAER's technical experience and outreach efforts.

Eshna Bhargava is a freshman studying Aerospace Engineering. They are a software team member for RoboBoat. They are currently the Assistant Public Relations Officer for the International Student Programming Council and the next Secretary of the Society of Women Engineers. They are also a Research Assistant at the Eagle Flight research center gaining experience with hybrid motor engines!

Meet Isabella DeLorenzo, RAER's President! She is a freshman studying Engineering Physics. She has a SpaceX internship this summer, is a WiDE lab researcher, and is on the fundraising committee for SWE.

Andressa Ojeda is a Sophomore studying Aerospace Engineering, she is an international student from Brazil. She is a mechanical member of NASA RMC for RAER. She was an honorable mention of the Zero-G 15th anniversary contest and was awarded with a free parabolic research flight to experience microgravity. She was also invited to do Project PoSSUM as a Scientist-Astronaut Candidate and worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant studying fuel sloshing for the Mathematics Department.

Aisyah Ariff is a junior studying AE and minoring in Space Studies & Applied Maths. She's been a member of RAER since Fall 2019. She is a mechanical member of NASA RMC. She has participated in multiple international sumo robot and model rocketry competitions back in her home country, Malaysia. She hopes to get more people excited about engineering, especially young women.
