“If a man does his best, what else is there?”— George S. Patton
After 10 months of hard work and preparation, the Eagle Battalion Ranger Challenge team finished 28th at the 2026 Sandhurst Military Skills Competition.
This year’s competition was the toughest in its 30+ year history. 48 teams from around the world lined up on the start line and the battles were fierce!
The teams executed multiple skill evaluations and physical challenges that required each member to work together to complete the task at hand to the highest standard.
The Ranger Challenge team was the 6th ROTC team in the Country and once again the top program in 6th Brigade. These warriors have a lot to be proud of!
There are hundreds of photos from this competition that can be found at our Battalion Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/erau_armyrotc_pics/albums/72177720333481199/

🎖️ Saving the best for last. Meet the final member of our 2026 Sandhurst team — and the one leading the charge.
⚔️ Cadet Christopher Decorte | Detachment Commander
📍 Hometown: Pensacola, FL
📚 Major: Homeland Security & Intelligence
🤝 Fraternity: FIJI
🏋️ Hobbies: Lifting, football, Formula 1 & anything that keeps him moving
🎯 Favorite Ranger Challenge Event: Shooting
Cadet Decorte doesn’t just lead from the front — he IS the front. From the weight room to the range, this man brings the intensity our team needs on the world’s most prestigious military skills competition stage.

🪖 MEET THE TEAM | Sandhurst 2026 🪖
Introducing our Cadet Ranger Detachment First Sergeant — the one holding this whole operation together (barely, but she’ll never admit it).
⚡ Name: Jo Archbold
📍 Hometown: Tacoma, WA
📚 Major: Aerospace Engineering
(…it’s more of a side hustle at this point)
☕ Hobbies: Coffee, running, and being professionally grumpy
🩹 Favorite Ranger Challenge Event: Being the TCCC casualty — someone’s gotta do it, and she’s volunteered enough times that we’re starting to ask questions
First Sergeant Archbold sets the tone for this detachment every single day — and if you’ve ever been on the receiving end of her 0500 wake-up energy, you already know. We wouldn’t want anyone else leading from the front.
Sandhurst 2026, let’s go. 🇺🇸

🎖️ Meet Your Next Sandhurst 2026 Team Member: Cadet J.T. Collins 🎖️
From the classrooms of aerospace engineering to the banks of the Hudson — J.T. brings the same precision to the field that he applies to jet propulsion. This Pottstown, PA native is built for the grind, and Sandhurst is about to find out just how much.
📚 Major: Aerospace Engineering | Jet Propulsion
🏠 Hometown: Pottstown, PA
🤝 Fraternity: Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI)
🏆 Favorite RC Event: Zodiac
When he’s not hitting the books or crushing rucks, you’ll find J.T. in the mountains, in the duck blind, in the weight room, or with his fiancée — the woman who keeps him grounded while he trains to compete at the highest level.
Sandhurst doesn’t just test your body — it tests everything you’re made of. And J.T. Collins? He’s made of the right stuff. 🦅
Welcome to the team, Cadet Collins. Let’s get to work. 💪

Introducing Cadet Ethan Tetreault — one of Eagle Battalion’s finest heading to Sandhurst Military Skills Competition 2026. 🎖️
A Homeland Security & Intelligence major and DeBary, FL native, Cadet Tetreault serves as the Executive Officer of our Cadet Ranger Detachment.
When he’s not leading, you’ll find him fishing, at the range, or with his family.
His favorite event? The Order of March Relay — and he’s ready to own it. This is his 3rd and final trip to this competition and he’s ready to make some history!
Sandhurst 2026, let’s go. ⚔️🇺🇸
