Welcoming New Teachers to Holly Hill Elementary! πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΈπŸ’™

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Rodriguez and Ms. Garcia to the Holly Hill Elementary family! Joining us from Spain, they bring valuable cultural experiences, fresh perspectives, and a passion for teaching that will enrich our Dual Language Program.

Our students are already enjoying meaningful learning experiences in Spanish! In kindergarten, students are exploring rhyming words, while first graders are actively engaged in whole-group instruction. Our second graders are strengthening their Spanish through interactive lessons, discussions, collaboration, and authentic opportunities to listen, speak, read, and write.

Having teachers from Spain gives our students the opportunity to connect with authentic language and culture while developing their Spanish communication skills and global awareness.

We are so happy to have Mrs. Rodriguez and Ms. Garcia at Holly Hill Elementary and look forward to the wonderful impact they will have on our students and school community!

Β‘Bienvenidas a Holly Hill Elementary! πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΈπŸ“šβœ¨

✨ Meet One of Our Newest VCS World Languages Teachers! πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ

Dr. Pereles-Coleman would like to introduce you to one of our newest Spanish teachers at DeLand Middle School! Bienvenida Mrs. Whaley. 🀩
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit and support her as she began her first days with us.

She started by getting students familiar with school and classroom policies, followed by a fun game of Bingo! πŸŽ‰ Then, it was time to jump into Spanish as students began working on the days of the week and weather. πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έβ˜€οΈπŸŒ§οΈ
