ππ Building Stronger Partnerships Through Education ππ
The Daytona State College School of Education is proud to share that Professor Diefendorf had the opportunity to present during this summer's School Resource Officer (SRO) Training!
Professor Diefendorf led an engaging session covering all things Exceptional Student Education (ESE), including disability awareness, IDEA, IEPs, behavior supports, accommodations, de-escalation strategies, and best practices for working with students with disabilities. The presentation emphasized the vital role School Resource Officers play in fostering safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments for every student.
Collaboration between educators and law enforcement is essential, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support the professional development of those who serve our schools every day.
Thank you to all of the School Resource Officers for your commitment to our students and your dedication to learning how to better support the diverse needs of every child. Together, we're building stronger schools and stronger communities!
