If you are planning to complete your Senior Internship during Fall 2026 or Spring 2027, it is time to begin preparing for an important internship requirement: the First Days of School Internship Assignment! 🏫✨

To complete this assignment, you will need to attend:

βœ… Bring the provided hours log to your cooperating teacher
βœ… Have your teacher sign the log by hand

πŸš”πŸ“š Building Stronger Partnerships Through Education πŸ’™πŸ’›

The Daytona State College School of Education is proud to share that Professor Diefendorf had the opportunity to present during this summer's School Resource Officer (SRO) Training!

Professor Diefendorf led an engaging session covering all things Exceptional Student Education (ESE), including disability awareness, IDEA, IEPs, behavior supports, accommodations, de-escalation strategies, and best practices for working with students with disabilities. The presentation emphasized the vital role School Resource Officers play in fostering safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments for every student.

Collaboration between educators and law enforcement is essential, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support the professional development of those who serve our schools every day.

Thank you to all of the School Resource Officers for your commitment to our students and your dedication to learning how to better support the diverse needs of every child. Together, we're building stronger schools and stronger communities!
