The Young Professionals Network is off to a great start! Yesterday, employees gathered at the Daytona Beach campus to connect with colleagues, meet members of the Human Resources team, and learn more about what's ahead for the YPN. It was a great opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and strengthen our professional community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us—we're excited for what's to come!

For Toni Savidge, joining Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University was an easy decision. As someone who has always valued education, she was drawn to the university's strong reputation, commitment to learning, and the opportunities it offered. More than 35 years later, she still feels the same pride in being part of the Embry-Riddle community.
One of Toni's favorite milestones is reaching her 35th anniversary and reflecting on the countless students whose journeys she has witnessed along the way. Knowing they are out in the world making meaningful contributions and achieving success is one of the most rewarding parts of her career.
What has kept her here all these years? The people. “The students, faculty, and staff. We become a family. What could be better than that?”
Thank you, Toni, for your dedication, service, and the lasting impact you've made on the Embry-Riddle community. 💙🦅

What began as a chance encounter and a newspaper job listing turned into a career spanning nearly 25 years at Embry-Riddle. After moving to Florida in 2000, Mary "Vicki" Martin learned about a cashier opening at the university, applied, and was hired just one week before the start of the fall semester. Thrown into the excitement of tuition payment day before online payments existed, she quickly discovered the energy of Embry-Riddle students and the welcoming spirit of her coworkers, a combination that has kept her here ever since.
Over the years, Vicki has watched the campus transform, from the days of the "alphabet soup" buildings and the old Hunt Library to the thriving campus we know and love today. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: the passion and determination of Embry-Riddle students.
Vicki has served in several roles around campus, helping students navigate important moments in their educational journeys. Her favorite part of working at Embry-Riddle has always been the people, the colleagues who became family, and the students whose stories, ambitions, and accomplishments continue to inspire her.
This year marks a special milestone for Vicki: she has now spent half of her life living in the Daytona Beach area and working at Embry-Riddle. She and her husband are both Embry-Riddle alumni, and so much of their lives have been shaped by the university community.
Thank you, Vicki, for your years of service, dedication, and the countless lives you've touched along the way. 💙🦅

Our department tours are more than a fun way for employees to get out of the office, network with new colleagues, and learn more about the university. These tours are foundational for true employee engagement by fostering belonging, creating meaning and purpose, and enhancing collaboration.
We have some fun tours planned for the remainder of 2026 and can't wait to see our faculty and staff there!
Prescott team, we hope to see you at our Forensic Science Lab tour in July!
