Piccolo Orsetto (Little Bear in Italian) is a new breakfast, brunch and lunch concept from the chefs of Meadowlark and Wheat Penny opening spring of 2026.

The space will also house a cooking school, a private party room and a cook book library!

Our first delivery for Piccolo Orsetto! It’s getting real y’all!! 😁

The owners of Wheat Penny and Meadowlark are putting the finishing touches on their new restaurant coming to downtown Dayton. Known as Piccolo Orsetto, the venue will offer various breakfast and lunch dishes 7 a.m.-3 p.m. seven days a week. Piccolo Orsetto will be located within the historic Dietz Block Building on Wayne Avenue, next door to Wheat Penny. Good Hands Bread Co., the first business to operate under the new ownership, opened late last year. 05/14/2026
