Engineers in Technical Humanitarian Opportunities of Service-learning ETHOS is a non-profit 501c3 organization through the University of Dayton

Engineers in Technical Humanitarian Opportunities of Service-Learning (ETHOS) is a flagship program at the University of Dayton that is designed to give engineering students a chance to become culturally immersed in another culture while working on technical issues affecting those in under-developed areas of the world. We have traveled to over 18 countries, worked with over 36 host organizations, have passed over 250 alumni all over the past 14 years. ETHOS is continually looking for host organizations, partnerships with profitable organizations, and interested University of Dayton students to take our program to greater heights. General information

Students of all disciplines apply and are selected for a 10-week immersion program. They travel with 2 other students in each group, and work on a project using Appropriate Technology. Projects in the past include solar technology, waterinfrastructure and purification, stoves, wind energy, essential oil extraction, and planning/construction. We are always looking for ways to sustainably expand our program and support the current and future organizations that we work with.
