I think this might be a later season cicada species! I never knew we had more than one annual cicada here in Ohio! I'm looking forward to making a trip to the northeast part of the state next year when the Seventeen Year cicada Brood emerges there.

A single lacewing egg on one of our black cherry tomatoes.
If you see these in your garden, leave them be! They're just as as ladybugs for controlling pest species!
