There’s something special about being in community. 💙

The MVS Black Experience Back-to-School Barbecue was more than food and music, it was a celebration of our students, families, faculty, staff, and the community we continue to build together.

This student-led celebration, led by Johnathan Pickens, is a beautiful example of what MVS is all about creating spaces where students feel seen, heard, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are and all they bring to our community.

From new families to returning families, it was an evening of connection, joy, affirmation, and starting the school year surrounded by community.
