The 'Dayton Area Chapter' formed several years ago to promote the study and promotion of WWI aviation history in the 'birthplace of aviation'.
Meets quarterly in west-central Ohio, typically in Dayton. Most members come from Toledo, Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton. To learn more about this dedicated group of WWI historians please contact:

On September 21, 2018, a memorial was dedicated in honor of the airmen who served in WWI. It stands at the United States Air Force Museum. We would like to express our appreciation to all groups and individuals who made this happen. Their legacy continues based upon your kindness and generosity. Thank you!

For those interested in all things World War One, Camp Sherman, the third largest training camp in the United States, was near Chillicothe, Ohio, and had 2000 barracks and other buildings.
