Our preschoolers proved themselves to be Kindergarten-ready! 🍎✨

The kiddos who will be moving up this fall participated in “Kinder for a Day,” hosted by Dayton Leadership Academies: A Leader In Me School, and experienced what a real school day will be like.

They attended classes, enjoyed recess, and had lunch with students who may soon be their peers. Our preschoolers truly shined bright and showed confidence, excitement, and readiness as they prepare to transition into Kindergarten this fall!🎒📚 We are super excited to prepare them for this next chapter!!

Preschool Promise Power Panda stopped by to announce the Ready to Read bike winners and show love to our school family! Antonio and Koda were beyond excited for their new rides. 🚲📚🐼

Simple, yet meaningful, moments from our Staff Outdoor Gathering! ☀️

It was such a blessing to connect and unwind as a team. Building strong connections outside of the classroom helps strengthen our school family and creates a supportive, encouraging community for both our staff and students! 💚🩵

Our school agers learned about fire safety and showed appreciation to our local firefighters who work tirelessly and risk their lives to protect our community.

They learned important fire safety tips before creating thank you notes and special firefighter coloring pages. Thank you to Chief Brad French and the entire crew at the Dayton Fire Department for your service and dedication! 🚒❤️

To wrap up our series on the Fruit of the Spirit, our Spiritual Director, Ms. April, has organized a special therapy dog visit! 🐾 Galatians 5:22-23

The children will have the opportunity to interact and learn how qualities such as love, joy, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control can be demonstrated through gentle interactions with others, especially our furry friends. 💛

Parents, please remember to return completed permission slips if you would like your child to participate with their classroom!

What a TOTALLY RAD week it was celebrating our amazing teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week! 💿🧡📺🛼✨

We took it all the way back with a fun-filled 90’s Spirit Week packed with nostalgia and refreshing treats all week long! Our staff kicked things off with a “Totally Rad” breakfast buffet, wore bright colors and 90’s jams for “Throwback TV”. Our team also provided special surprises throughout the week including our “Don’t Go Chasin’ Dehydration” Hydration Station💧, Canes chicken and subs generously donated by Jersey Mike’s because our teachers are truly “Sub-sational!” 🥪✨

Ultimately, we hope our incredible staff felt loved, appreciated, and celebrated for all they do each and every day for our children and families. We appreciate the energy and care you pour into DCC more than words can say! 🫶🏽🎉

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and mother figures!! 💐 We recognize the endless love, sacrifices, encouragement, and care you pour into your children each and every day. Your impact is truly immeasurable, and we are so grateful for all that you do.

That’s why this Mother’s Day, we held “Mommy & Me Masterpiece!” Mother figures and their little ones bonded while painting creative works of art together. 🎨🥰 We hope you all enjoyed spending quality time and creating meaningful memories with your special little person and will treasure your beautiful art pieces for years to come!

We loved welcoming a special parent guest who brought STEM to life in such a fun, hands-on way! 🧪✨

Our preschoolers explored the basics of STEM by making their own dough for homemade bread, learning about measuring, mixing, and how ingredients transform. Meanwhile, our toddlers were amazed as they watched sprinkles dissolve in water, discovering simple science through observing how colors and textures change right before their eyes. 🧑‍🍳

This visit was part of Rev. Arthur Williams’ STREAM Living Classroom program, which encourages children to explore and create, learning that STEM is everywhere. The curiosity and excitement in both classrooms were incredible to see!

We’re always grateful for the opportunity to invite our community into the classroom to be part of our children’s learning experiences! We look forward to continuing to grow our little learners’ love for STEM💡
