We are one week away from the start of the 26-27 school year & we can’t wait!

Reminders:
Sunday: Preschool & kindergarten orientation-5:00-6:30 p.m will be held in English. 6:45-8:15 pm will be held in Spanish..

Tuesday: Meet the Teacher (new uniform sale, Snocone sales, organization displays including PTO, athletics, ECHO, Scouts, & the Public Library will be on display from 530-730); meet the teacher will be 630-730.

Thursday: school begins for preschool-8th grade.

Please don’t forget to pick up your Back to school packets.

SOME FREE DRAGONS FUN

We are always happy to provide opportunities like this for charities and charitable partners. We had a donor reach out to us to help donate tickets to those in our community that make Dayton a better place to work, live, and play. Here are the dates that we have ticket availability. Would any of the people you serve, work with, volunteers, those less fortunate, etc. want to attend these Dragons games? (this would be FREE)

Wednesday September 2 West Michigan Whitecaps (Detroit Tigers)

Thursday September 3 West Michigan Whitecaps (Detroit Tigers)

Please reply with the following information, and we will text the tickets to them:

· Name

· Address, City & Zip

· Cell phone (needed as tickets will be sent via text)

· Email address

· Which game date

· # of tickets (due to available inventory, tickets may be in multiple seating locations)

They will get a text with a ticket link; click on the link and it will bring up their tickets on their cell phone for entrance at the stadium entry gates. Thank you!

Meet the Teacher is right around the corner.... Join us August 25th. The actual meet the teacher event is from 630 pm-730 pm but there are number of important groups and community partners that will be here early to answer questions and share resources they have to offer as a support our school families!

LOCATION CHANGE FOR THIS WEEKENDS USED UNIFORM SALE…. Please note the used uniform sale will take place in the Smith Building, not the East Wing. When pulling into the parking lot (facing the school) you will go to right where you will see a blue awning just down from the school office with a sign that says Smith Building. The sale is Saturday and Sunday, cash or check only. You can contact Sara Slack with any questions or if you would like to volunteer to help. [email protected]

The Riverside Police Department invites our community to join us for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Stebbins High School.

This free, family‑friendly event is open to everyone and packed with activities, including:

• Free food
• Free drinks
• Free treats
• Face painting for kids
• Live Irish dance performances
• Live DJ entertainment

Today the administrative staff gathered to celebrate our office manager’s official last day. Lisa Saunders has been the backbone of our school office and now gets to enjoy retirement. Best wishes Lisa- you will be missed!!

We welcome our new office assistant, Tori Tipton to St Helen’s front office. Sandy Goble will take over as office manager.
