This partner song pairs a cherished Japanese lullaby with a new original melody. Supported by piano and optional flute, the two lines weave together into a gentle, lilting setting that keeps the original Japanese melody at the forefront. A portion of the proceeds supports the Fort Worth Japanese Society, whose mission is to build friendship and understanding between the people of Japan and the United States through education, exchange, and community engagement.

Shadows Have Color Too | Coty Raven Morris & Mark Burrows

This collaboration between Coty Raven Morris and Mark Burrows began as a conversation about light, color, and the human experience—how even within black ink and white light, whole spectrums of color are present. From that idea emerged Morris’s stunning poem, paired with Burrows’s compelling musical setting for choir, piano, string quartet/orchestra, and percussion. “Shadows Have Color Too” is a journey, an exploration, and a celebration.
