So yesterday we were out delivering some soccer balls so that our kids could continue practicing their soccer skills. While going from house to house we found this posted outside one of our third grade student's home. Way to go, Justin! What a great kid and how thoughtful of this teacher to encourage her students in this special way. So proud of all our kids who are trying to keep up with their schoolwork amidst all the confusion and uncertainty. Keep up the great work and hopefully we will be back together soon.

No Longer Strangers Kids Mic'd Up 08/20/2019

Kids are adorable and precious no matter where they come from. They need love, security, food, and someone to listen to their deepest thoughts and feelings
They need you to reach out and share of your time, energy, and love.
Their resilience will surprise you; their spontaneity will delight you; their longings and pain will touch your innermost being, and you will be changed!
If you are interested in meeting some of our kids, playing with them, and helping them learn and grow, please contact me at [email protected]

“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” Mark 9:37

Some shots from our soccer clinic being held weekly throughout July and into August. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Isaac Nelson at AIA and our wonderful volunteer Grant Kovac this clinic has opened opportunities for our kids to get out and play in a safe environment. They have been challenged not only to play hard but to be responsible,to be respectful, and to be safe in both their words and their deeds.
And of course there are those who like to show off other "talents" as well as play soccer.
Thanks to all the volunteers who have come out to make this a truly wonderful experience for the kids.

So thankful to have volunteers who are willing to wade through the mess to experience the joy that awaits at the end.

We are assessing damage to our friends' homes and will be making announcements on this page of any help or needs they have. Please pray for all our friends throughout the area.

More great things are occurring as we are willing to come together to love one another because He first loved us.
A Cedarville University professor encourages his math and science students to join him one night a week thorough out the school year to tutor our middle school and high school students. Centerville Christian Fellowship supports his efforts by donating funds which enabled us to purchase Chromebooks for use during the tutoring sessions. Then students from the TELL club at University of Dayton joined us the 2nd semester allowing us to increase the number of kids served.

Good things happen when people come together for a common goal: to love one another because He first loved us. Here a Cedarville soccer coach, CUSA, Southbrook Church, Crystal Church, and No Longer Strangers came together making it possible for many of our new neighbors to play, learn, and grow together. If you would like to be join this collaborative effort, please contact [email protected]

This young boy loves to play hard, work hard, laugh often, and pray fervently. He is in 1st grade. He says he does work at school and loves to learn. He doesn't know yet what he wants to do when he grows up. If you are interested in helping children like this young boy learn, play and grow, please contact Pam Laughlin at [email protected] for more details.

Janelle has been volunteering with No Longer Strangers for several years. She began enjoying the time she spent with the kids as a Cedarville University student and eventually became the student leader for King's Kids our Cedarville student led Sunday evening program. Now she is living and working in the Dayton area and continues to spend time with the kids she met while a student. We love Janelle and her commitment to the ministry and the kids. If you would like to experience the joy and fulfillment of sharing your time and energy with our newest neighbors, please contact us.
