Mentoring transforms lives: we connect kids to college students through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and brighter futures.
We want all kids to look forward sooner and be able to give back later. At the UD chapter, we have 40 little buddies who come every week from two different elementary schools in Dayton to learn more about college and bond with their mentors. A unique and rewarding experience, College Mentors for Kids has an amazing impact on both the little buddies and the mentors.

UD Rescue Squad talked to the kids about the importance of communication, safety, and preparation in the field. The kids played a game of telephone to underscore the importance of good communication and listening skills. A tour of the ambulance followed. The kids also got to look at and learn about different medical supplies.

Little Buddies learned about why it's important to be healthy and fit in college. They had a healthy snack and were led in stretching and games by our mentor Nate Wilkins.

Ms. Stewart, who runs Upward Bound, led our activity this week. The Little Buddies played a couple games and learned some great life lessons.
