Immaculate Conception School-Dayton

This evening St Helen’s and Immaculate Conception School in collaboration with our family advocates from ECHO held a Hispanic Resource Fair. We are so thankful to Deanna from the Archdiocese, each schools ELL support staff, counselors, administration & Title teachers as well as our community partners UD’s ECHO Program, Dayton Metro Library, El Puente, Welcome Dayton, Catholic Social Services, House of Bread, and Immaculate Conception Parish Hispanic outreach for making this event happen! We are also thankful to the many young people from ICS and CJ who volunteered at the event- your service made a huge difference this evening!

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a cornerstone of our faith. At the end of her earthly life, Mary was taken up, body and soul, into heavenly glory, triumphing over death like her Son. This dogma, solemnly defined by Pope Pius XII in 1950, affirms Mary's unique participation in Christ's Resurrection and serves as a sign of sure hope for our own resurrection. Mary, assumed into Heaven, pray for us!

Celebrate this holy day of obligation by participating in Mass today!

Congratulations to our preschool and kindergarten classes who did an amazing job at today’s performances. Thank you to the awesome staff that made it possible!

Today one of our preschool classes was able to meet their St Helen pen pals in a joint field trip to Learming Tree Farm. Fun was had by all. They were able to try spinach, kale and rainbow radish. They petted goats, horses, donkeys, sheep, and held chickens.
