I was so incredibly honored to have the privilege of caring for Miss. Layla for the last 4 years. It's a bittersweet moment seeing these littles flourish, learn, and grow. Eventually these little ones I have grown to love so much, graduate and leave me for Kindergarten!

Congratulations and Good luck Layla! You are a bright, wonderful, sweet, smart, creative little girl!! I know you are going to do GREAT THINGS in the years to come!!!

ANOTHER FUN CRAFT IDEA!!!!

Pony Bead Sun Catcher

You will need:

-Translucent pony beads
-Cupcake or pie pan (not one you use for food. I used an old goodwill one and a disposable pie pan)
-A gas grill ( You can also use an oven inside, but make sure you have proper ventalation/ fan - breathing the fumes is NOT good for you!)
-A Drill
-String ( I used fishing line)

*Directions*

1) Arrange your pony beads in a one layer design in your pie pan or Cupcake pan. Have fun with this! You can turn this into a learning exercise by counting the beads or arranging them by color.

2) Put them on your gas grill ( or in the oven if you are able to ventalate well). You want the heat to be about 400° for approximately 25 min.

3) Remove trays to let dry and harden ( approximately 45 min minimum)

4) Drill a tiny hole about a 1/4 inch from the side

5) Thread string or fishing line threw the hole and tie a knot so that it can hang up.

Voila!!! Homemade pony Bead suncatcher!

Some days are just for fun!

We made pancakes together and learned how Ms. Lyssa knows when they are ready to flip, worked on some fine motor skills with stickers, and then played with balloons today.

These guys are too much fun!!!

Want a fun and easy rainy day project for you and your littles to do??

Multi Color Crayon Activity

You will need:
-Old crayons
-Muffin pan (see notes at bottom for alternative)
-Cupcake wrappers
-(Optional) a cookie sheet for stability of your silicone pan if you go that route.

1.) Pre heat oven at 350°. Take your broken/ mostly used crayons, remove any paper on them.

2.) Break them into smaller pieces

3.) Put them in your muffin wrappers for less mess, or directly in the muffin pan, only making one or two layers at the bottom of each cup. You can choose any colors to mix together, the more colors used the more colorful your crayon will be

4.) Put it in the oven for 7-10 min (check to make sure all the crayons have melted completely. I found 8 min to be perfect in my oven.

5) When they are done melting set them aside to dry / harden for 30 min.

Voila!!! You have brand new multi color crayons!!! They come out super easy, and the kids have a lot of fun!

Note: you can also use silicone trays that have shapes for more fun! Make sure they are rated for use in the oven though - not all are created equal! ;-)

We have been working on our "wind chime" project for 3 days, and we finally finished it today!!! We even had enough materials to create other fun things!

Tree week is almost over but man have we learned A LOT! We did tree rubbing, got to look up close and personal at bark on different parts of a tree (despite the rain), learned about the different parts of a tree, and made some really fun crafts!
