Join MVCDC this Wednesday, June 24, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Family and Children's Services Visitation Center in Springfield. Our very own Emily Callen, Director of Health and Nutrition, will be one of the panelists participating in a discussion and community conversation focused on understanding the factors that contribute to hunger and hardship and exploring community-based solutions.
Join the City of Springfield, Clark County Combined Health District, MVCDC Head Start and Hall Hunger Initiative for an important community conversation on food insecurity.
Beyond Hunger: Understanding the Challenges, Building Community Solutions will feature a panel discussion exploring the causes and impacts of hunger in our community, followed by an open discussion where residents can share perspectives, ask questions and help identify solutions.
Together, we can better understand the challenges facing local families and work toward building a healthier, stronger community.

🌼 Ever wonder how helps children learn and grow all year long?
We believe that play‑based learning is one of the most powerful tools for early development. Through the HighScope curriculum, children engage in hands‑on experiences that strengthen problem‑solving, encourage thoughtful decision‑making, and build independence step by step. When children explore, imagine, and create, they’re building the foundation for confidence and long‑term success.
