Richard Allen Schools Richard Allen Schools are Ohio public charter schools serving grades K-8. Campuses are located in Dayton (K-2 and 3-8) and Hamilton (K-6). They are special.

Our philosophy at Richard Allen Schools is premised on the conviction that the only children who fail to learn are those who learn to fail. Students are taught that failure is an unacceptable choice; they can and must succeed. Students are educated to read, write, compute, and think critically in order to make informed decisions and prepare for the future. At Richard Allen Schools we are committed

to helping students develop beliefs that will last a lifetime. We do not teach a single philosophy; rather, we expose our students to a variety of concepts and theories and teach them to use their own minds to analyze evidence logically so as to reach their own conclusions. Our faculty members understand that one of their primary responsibilities is to help students believe in themselves. This is accomplished by creating and communicating a positive attitude about students. A positive classroom environment creates an atmosphere that encourages and causes students to learn. Richard Allen Schools offer enriching and dynamic educational experiences designed to help students reach their full potential. Parent involvement in the academic growth of their students and in school activities is essential. We invite, encourage, and expect family support and participation in the education of the children entrusted to the care of Richard Allen Schools. A strong home — school partnership is the basis for successful learning.

As I return to the principal’s seat and enter my 31st year in education, I find it incredibly important for our current students to see the greatness that has walked the halls of Richard Allen Schools before them.

🌟 Your journey is part of our legacy! 🌟

I have created a Richard Allen Legacy Wall in our building to celebrate and highlight the accomplishments and successes of our former students. I want today’s Wildcats to see firsthand that greatness has come through Richard Allen—and greatness continues to come through Richard Allen!

After 25+ years, Richard Allen Schools has educated thousands of students, and I know there are amazing stories waiting to be shared.

Ms. Jenny Richards is a proud mom of three amazing young people whom she homeschooled, and she brings a wealth of teaching experience with her. This will be her 6th year working in a charter school, and she truly loves making a difference in the lives of students.

Hello RAP K–2 Families!

My name is Toska Ivory, and I am excited to join the Richard Allen Preparatory K–2 team as an Interventionist this school year!

I have four years of experience working with students in grades PK–2, and I am passionate about helping young learners build strong literacy skills and develop confidence in themselves. I believe every child has the ability to succeed, and I strive to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to grow.

A few fun facts about me:

📚 I have a passion for reading and helping children discover the joy of learning.
💙 I enjoy building meaningful relationships with students and their families.
