Honor. Reflect. Celebrate.
Juneteenth marks the day when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom on June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.
Today, we recognize the significance of this history, celebrate Black resilience and achievement, and reflect on the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.
As we commemorate Juneteenth, we invite our community to learn, engage in meaningful conversations, and honor the stories that continue to shape our nation.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. 🇺🇸
On this Memorial Day, GLACUHO reflects with gratitude on the courage, service, and dedication of those who gave their lives in defense of others. We also extend our appreciation to the families and loved ones who carry their legacy forward.
As we gather with friends and family this weekend, may we take a moment to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.
