ATTENTION, STIVERS SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS COMMUNITY!

WE ARE IN DIRE NEED OF DONORS TO HELP THIS STUDENT!!

The Creative Writing and Visual Arts magnets would like to ask for your assistance in getting one of our highest achievers to Carnegie Hall to accept TWO national Scholastic Art and Writing Awards -- for both magnets. This is the first time in the history of our school that an artist has achieved this honor.

And that student is Gentry Heflin. Attached are the winning pieces: an excerpt from their poem titled "Ode to John Coltrane" and a ceramic mask titled "White Jesus."

We are raising funds to pay for airfare and hotel for Gentry and their grandmother who will act as es**rt. The seedling Foundation has set up a fund for this purpose.
