We would like to introduce our new school secretary Miss. Renee!! She has been our CCRI (college and career readiness instructor) for the last 3 years so she may look familiar! Miss. Renee is still getting to know all of our families so please be kind and patient with this learning curve. We will be requiring anyone checking out a child to show photo ID when doing so. Please make sure you bring your ID in to the office when checking out your child. Also please make sure all of your information in IC, including emergency contacts is correct and updated. We look forward to working with Miss. Renee in the office, please help us welcome her!!

The end of an era! Our amazing school secretary is on to new adventures and today was her last day at Riverview. Students and staff had the chance to say goodbye this afternoon, if your child’s hands have dye on them from flowers, we’re sorry!! Kasani has been a familiar face for families, students and staff alike over the last 11 years! She worked tirelessly to make sure things ran smoothly at RES day to day, every day. We love her and will miss her dearly! Good luck Miss. Kasani!

We can’t wait to see everyone very soon!! Please remember to follow all Nevada Driving Laws when dropping off and picking up your child today and please remember our procedures for pick up and drop off. We want to keep all of our students, staff, and families safe this school year and that starts with you!

Riverview teachers and staff are ready to “run” into (or away from 😂) the school year tomorrow! We’re so excited see everyone at 8:30! Please remember that students can’t be dropped off before 8:30 and no parents are allowed to walk their child to class. If you have questions or need assistance with anything please go to the office.

Stop by Smith's on Sunday, August 16th, from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM and donate school supplies to help us Fill a Cop Car for our students.
Whether it's a pack of pencils, notebooks, crayons, or backpacks, every donation helps our students start the school year prepared.

⭐️STARBASE⭐️ Campers: Day 3!! We learned that water 💧 has surface tension until we add a surfactant like soap and then it breaks down the bond, which why we use soap 🧼 to clean🧽 . We explored surface tension through pennies, soap & bubbles! Bubbles 🫧 stay their shape until the surface tension breaks and that is why they pop!

We also worked on and tested our cardboard carnival 🎡 games!

⭐️STARBASE⭐️ Day 2 was filled with ENGINEERING & ENERGY!! Have you ever mined a cookie 🍪? Students became engineers as they learned all about Nevada ⛏️ mining…from buying land and tools, paying employees & then mining chocolate 🍫 chips. They continued being engineers when they designed a vehicle 🚗 that moved strictly on wind💨. We learned about energy, from chemical 🧪 , mechanical ⚙️ , thermal and all of the energies in between as we conducted many observations 🔬 ! Lastly we started designing our bottle rockets 🚀 and continued creating our cardboard carnival 🎡 games!
