Learning Center West was hopping on Thursday where they held TWO talent shows! 🌟🎤🥁🕶
The morning show was an incredible lineup of students who took to the stage and truly shined, each performance was unique, confident, and inspiring! It was wonderful to welcome so many families and the support and energy in the room made the day even more special!
In the afternoon, the staff traded in their lesson plans for the spotlight and the talent was UNREAL! From powerhouse singing and epic drumming to jaw-dropping dancing and incredible rapping, our teachers and staff absolutely brought the house down!

Last month, our Related Services’ Regional School Psychologists Network partnered with Navigate360 to host Dr. Scott Poland from Nova Southeastern University at Wright State University for an important conversation on nonsuicidal self-injury, su***de prevention, and student mental health supports.
The event brought together school psychologists, counselors, administrators, social workers, and other educators to learn about the signs, symptoms, and strategies to better support students. The afternoon panel featuring Dr. Sonia Hunt and Taneah Matthews provided valuable real-time discussion on su***de prevention, intervention, and postvention.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined us for this impactful day of learning and collaboration focused on supporting the well-being of students and school communities. Together, we are building stronger, safer support systems for our students! 🤝✨

We celebrated an incredible milestone at our MD Senior Celebration Ceremony! 🎓💙
This class has shown resilience, determination, growth, and heart every step of the way. We are so proud of each student for the hard work it took to reach this finish line, and equally proud of the staff who walked beside them, encouraged them, and believed in them every day!
What we’ll miss most are the personalities that made this group so special. The laughter, the stories, the energy, the uniqueness each student brought into our classrooms and hallways made a lasting impact on all of us.
As class speaker Surur perfectly said:
“You helped us find our voices and our voices said ‘we did it.’ Let’s party!” 🎉
Congratulations to all of our graduates and families. We can’t wait to see where your voices take you next!

What does meaningful career-connected learning look like for every student, at every grade level?
On Thursday, educators and leaders from across our region came together for our Career Connected Learning Lab to explore Ohio’s updated Career Connected Learning Framework and collaborate around practical strategies that support students from kindergarten through graduation.
This event was hosted by the Career Pathways Support Network: West Region and our Career Navigators (Career Connected Learning & Workforce team). We are incredibly proud of both this event and the meaningful work they do every day to help connect students to future opportunities and success.
Throughout the day, teams focused on the four key phases of career development:
➡️ Awareness
➡️ Exploration
➡️ Preparation
➡️ Participation
From sharing ideas and reflecting on current practices to building actionable plans for the future, participants spent the day thinking intentionally about how we can better prepare students for success beyond the classroom.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such thoughtful conversations and collaboration as we continue building strong, meaningful career-connected learning experiences for all students.
