Congratulations to our very own, The Dunbar Marching Wolverine Band, who took home 1st place in the small band category at the MMB March to Live Battle of the Bands! We are so proud of you guys!

Today we celebrate our incredible administrative assistants at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Your organization, patience, and constant support keep everything running smoothly, often behind the scenes. Thank you for being the welcoming faces, the problem-solvers, and the hands that help both students and staff succeed every day. We appreciate you more than words can say!

Congratulations to our very own Nadjwa Saboun who was honored in the 2026 Montgomery County Franklin B. Walter Scholarship Awardees and their Educators of Influence!

Our Urban Agriculture students had a great day working with the UD River Stewards on a joint community service project to rehabilitate the local Highview Hills Park. Our students helped to survey students at Dunbar, Wogaman, and Louise Troy as well as other community members to see what improvements they might utilize. Our students helped to design signage for an interpretive trail. Yesterday, we helped to remove some invasive species and plant native species like Paw paw and Spice Bush. We also took plenty of time to play and explore.
