University of Dayton Department of Music Our education starts with a sound philosophy! Minors are offered in Music and Music Technology. In addition, a certificate in
church music is available.

The University of Dayton Department of Music offers degree programs including
the Bachelor of Music with majors in performance, composition, music therapy or
music education; and the Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in Jazz Studies and
Music Studies. Through a cooperative program with the School of Education and Allied Professions,
we also offer the Master of Science in Education with a Music Education concentration.

This week, the Flyer Arts Showcase took place in the Experimental Theatre in the Roger Glass Center for the Arts, which is different from our normal recital space in the Concert Hall. These students, who were all semifinalists from last semester’s Honors Recital, did a wonderful job performing in a different space than they’re used to. Congratulations to Evan Rinesmith, Sarah George, Hannah Crellin, and Henry Riesbeck for their fantastic performances!
