Bryan College mourns the passing of longtime friend and supporter Jacqueline “Jackie” Stophel, who went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2026.
Jackie lived a life marked by deep faith, generous service, and gracious hospitality. Through her church, mission work, community service, and support of Christian education, she shared her love for Christ through the way she lived.
Jackie and her husband, Glenn, have been faithful friends and supporters of Bryan College for many years. Their generosity and commitment to Christian education have made a lasting impact on Bryan and generations of students. In recognition of their legacy, the Stophel Welcome Center was named in their honor and dedicated in 2019.
Bryan College Board Chair Delana Bice once described Jackie as a “godly, gracious, talented Christian woman”—a fitting reflection of the life she lived.
We are grateful for Jackie’s friendship, faith, and lasting legacy. Please join the Bryan College community in praying for Glenn and the entire Stophel family during this time.
