Rev. Dr. Susan Arnold is helping the church reimagine what faithful ministry looks like in today’s world. As a leader in congregational development within the Holston Conference, she has guided churches into new expressions of mission that are both rooted in tradition and responsive to their communities. Her Doctor of Ministry work has shaped innovative models of cooperative ministry, Fresh Expressions, and Spirit-led engagement that bring new life to congregations.
We are proud to honor Rev. Dr. Arnold as this year’s Outstanding Doctor of Ministry Alumna.

“What miracles are not happening in our lives and ministries today because of our unbelief? ... The God we worship has incredible power and somehow has chosen to use us as vessels of that power of healing and prayer. So, expect a miracle!”
President Kent Millard, who will retire at the end of June, delivered the 2026 commencement address, encouraging graduates to remain expectant and open to the God's miraculous power as they carry their witness into the world.
Rev. Dr. Mark Teasdale, President-Elect, also greeted the graduates and invited them to share the stories of God's power in their communities: "You’re bringing about transformation in your congregations as God’s servants. Remember us, and let us know about it!”
