🚒 FST 1403 – Live Fire Instructor Course 🚒

The Sinclair Fire Science Program is offering FST 1403 – Live Fire Instructor, a 3-day course for certified instructors who participate in or oversee live fire training evolutions.

📅 Class Dates (Thursdays):
• March 26
• April 2
• April 9

⏰ Time: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day
📍 First Day Location: Sinclair Campus – Building 20, Room 133
(Additional location details will be provided in class.)

✅ Prerequisite: Participants must already be certified as a Fire and Emergency Services Instructor.

🚒 Sinclair Fire Academy – Summer 2026 🚒

We will begin accepting applications for the Summer 2026 Daytime Fire Academy on March 16, 2026.

🔥 Program Details:

Daytime only

Level I & Level II

Tuesday–Thursday

7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

🗓 Application deadline: April 20, 2026
📌 Applications are processed in order received. Incomplete application do not hold a spot within the Academy. The Fire Academy often reaches capacity before the application deadline. Do not wait to submit your completed application.

⚠️ Important reminders:

Background checks must be completed at Building 19 (unless previously completed through the Sinclair EMS Department within the past year)

Physicals must be signed by an MD or DO

All Sinclair Community College locations will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to the weather conditions. This includes the on-campus clinicals and labs. However, all remote courses will go on as scheduled. Visit www.sinclair.edu/alerts for more information.

Class Schedule Options:

Weekday Option

Firefighter I (FST 1102-100): Tues, Wed, Thurs | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Firefighter II (FST 1103-100): Tues, Thurs | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
📅 First Day: January 8th

Weeknight Option

Firefighter I (FST 1102-N00): Mon–Thurs | 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (occasional Saturdays)

Firefighter II (FST 1103-N00): Tues, Wed, Thurs | 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (with one Saturday)
📅 First Day: January 12th

Firefighter I is completed in the A-Term and Firefighter II in the B-Term for both options.

Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) – Required

EVOC (FST 1442-100): Jan 6–7 | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

EVOC (FST 1442-W00): Jan 10–11 | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

✅ Must have a valid driver’s license
