Thank you to all the departments that participated in the March Recruitment Fair. Twenty-three (23) departments signed up for the event.
Sinclair Police Academy Cadets, along with students from the Sinclair Criminal Justice Program, Fairmont, and Greene County Career Center, interacted with the recruiters.

Officer Mackie of the Riverside Police Department was struck last night on US35 while securing a crash scene. Officer Mackie is a recent graduate of the Sinclair Police Academy.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her, and we wish her a speedy recovery.

The Sinclair College Criminal Justice Training Academy is offering a FREE Pre-Police Academy Fit-to-Serve Program. This program will meet twice per week, with no cost to the police academy candidate.
What to expect:
· Get a head start on getting in the best shape of your life
· Learn what to expect at the Police Academy
· Familiarize yourself with the Police Academy training style
· Network with other candidates for support and encouragement
· Prepare for and pass the Pre-Academy Ohio Peace Officers Training Commission Physical Fitness Standard, which is mandatory for entry.
Registration is required for entry into this program, and you may register in person at the Sinclair Police Academy, 214 S. Wilkinson Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402. The Academy is open Monday through Friday, 7:30-3:30 pm.
A pre-program physical and waiver will be required for each participant. The program will meet for 90 minutes, each Tuesday at 7:00 PM and each Saturday at 12:30 PM to meet the incoming requirements for the Police Academies.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office offers a great starting point. Consider beginning your career as a Corrections Officer, where you can gain valuable hands-on experience, develop critical skills, and build a strong foundation in public safety. Once you reach 20 years of age, you may enroll in the Sinclair Criminal Justice Training Academy to pursue your goal of becoming a police officer. Chief Jackson and some of her staff from the Riverside, Ohio, Police Department stopped by yesterday to check in on one of their cadets in BAS25-091. They brought pizza over for the class during their visit. Thanks Chief!!!
