For more than 80 years, AIAA has been the principal society of the aerospace engineer and scientist. But we haven’t always been AIAA, or even one organization. 75 Years Ago Today: Carrier-based Japanese aircraft staged a surprise attack on the U.S. fleet at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. This Sikorsky JRS-1 is the only object in our collection that was stationed at Pearl Harbor that day.
