Huge UD Sigma Chi Update! The university is officially on board for our chapter to begin return next year, potentially by late fall. The VP of Student Development is telling Greek Life to fast-track us because we have 15–20 guys ready to go. More legacies are also coming this fall. We are working with the university on next steps, but in the meantime we want to update our contact info. Please help us by completing this form and by passing the info and link to others.

It was 30 years ago today that I was initiated into Iota Theta of Sigma Chi at the University of Dayton! Go Kappas!! I cannot believe it has been three decades. Now to find the pledge class picture that I have somewhere.

Gentlemen of Iota Theta - As we're sure many of you have heard by now, the Iota Theta Chapter was given a cease and desist order by the University after one of our undergraduate brothers passed away while away on Fall Break. While we remain incensed at the insensitivity of UD during the aftermath of this tragedy, it is with sadness that Steve, Justin and Travis have all accepted that Sigma Chi will not return to UD at any point in the near future where we will be involved as advisors. This was the last straw for us.

With that said, the three of us have been storing all of the Chapter House's belongings at our homes. It is now time to start purging some of these things. Most importantly is to see if anyone would offer a home to the composites from over the years. UD offered to archive them for us, but by doing so we lose ownership of them and can not "unarchive" them in the future. So our options are to lose ownership, find a new home, or simply photograph and destroy them. Please let us know if any of you would be willing to be guardians of this portion of our past history.

This morning, our undergraduate Brothers are gathered in Chicago to say goodby to one of our own. Tom, you've been taken from us long before your time and this little group of amazing young men will never be the same without you.

We are very saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Sigma Chi Fraternity Executive Director, Michael Dunn. May his family, friends, and brothers in Sigma Chi find peace and comfort. All honor to his name.

Our Chapter's first Faculty Advisor, Fr. Joe, has passed away. He served us well as both Brother, Priest and Friend. In Hoc Brother Lackner.

He died on April 28, 2013 in Seoul, South Korea. Let us thank God for the gift of his life; let us thank Mary Our Mother for the gift of his perseverance. Together, let us pray that he may rest in the peace of Christ.

Recently I have become the University of Dayton campus ambassador for this new up and coming clothing brand, known as Hill Country Clothing, located out of Austin,Texas. Hill Country Clothing is a really laid back fratty clothing brand founded by a group fraternity brothers in Texas. The clothing consists of button ups and t-shirts right now, but will soon expand to more. As an ambassador it is my obligation to reach out to fraternities and male dominated groups and get the name of the brand out there. I know a few members and I really think your chapter is great, so I am excited to hopefully start working with you. I know there has been a few discrepancies and chapter is not being held right now.
