As Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, we want to recognize students from the Law and Leadership Institute who spent part of their summer at Keller Hall.

Congratulations on your success at the state competition, including the 9th Graders finishing 3rd in Mock Trial and taking home Best Attorney and Best Witness Awards, the 10th Graders winning 1st in Unit 6 of We The People, an 11th Grader placing 2nd for Spoken Word in Resilience Cafe and for Moot Court and a 12th Grader winning Best Advocate!

Wishing U.S. District Court Judge Walter H. Rice well in his retirement! We're thankful for all he has done and is still doing to help our law students. Check out this great story in the Dayton Daily News about the many ways he's helped the community, including the law school, during his long career:

When Sterling Titus was sentenced to federal prison in 1982 by U.S. District Court Judge Walter H. Rice, he privately thought, “I hope I never see you again.”
