You are cordially invited to join us for the Wayne Carmichael Lecture in Environmental Sciences, this year provided by Dr. Marta Venier of Indiana University, on Monday, April 19 at 1:25 pm. Dr. Venier is an expert in "forever chemicals" a family of persistent synthetic chemicals with numerous known and potential health effects on humans and wildlife when they enter the environment. Their presence in water supplies has been on ongoing concern in the Dayton area, for example, and the Dayton Daily News has run a series of articles about this over the last year: https://www.daytondailynews.com/news/local/cleaning-forever-chemicals-drinking-water-not-easy-task/2L1JtBG8xZ820UNHz6HUlL/
