We are so thrilled that Elyssa Vega will be joining us! Give her bio a read! 👀

Elyssa Vega is a dancer, choreographer, and educator with over twenty years of training and a B.F.A. in Dance from the University of Houston, where she was a member of the UH Dance Ensemble, Young Audiences Touring Company and recipient of the Joanna Friesen Scholarship. She has performed with PDC Works, Chapman Dance, and is a current core member of Mezclada Dance Company. In addition, she co-founded Momentum Movement with Lizzy Aguilera, a teaching and choreography collective that brings quality dance training and team-building workshops to high schools across Texas. Most recently, she began an apprenticeship with Open Dance Project under the direction of Annie Arnoult and continues to serve as Studio Manager at Hunter Dance Center in the Heights. Elyssa is passionate about uplifting & contributing to the Houston dance community, nurturing the next generation of artists, and expanding her own creative practice as both a performer and educator each and every day.

First up, we’ve got Aidan Aloma! Take a look at his bio below to learn more about him 👀

Aidan Aloma is a graduate from Sam Houston State University, where he finished Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance. He began dancing at the age of two at his mother’s dance studio, Star Systems & Co. Dance. For nine years, Aidan trained and competed with SSCD fueling his need to be on stage. He was privileged to train and perform with Ballet Theatre Houston under the direction of the late Ballet Master, Robert Underwood. Aidan has also trained and competed with Texas Academy of Dance Arts. Aidan has trained intensively as a pre-professional company member since his freshman year of high school. He was a METtoo at Houston Metropolitan Dance Company & Center, as well as a founding HC2 company member at The Institute of Contemporary Dance both under the direction of Marlana Doyle. Aidan has had the opportunity to guest artist with Social Movement Contemporary Dance Theater, under the direction of Elijah Gibson and with WhirlWind Dance, under the direction of Joshua Manculich. 

Currently, Aidan is entering his second season with Giordano Dance Chicago, under the direction of Nan Giordano. Additionally, he is a Lead Assistant & the Social Media Manager for Dupree Dance & the Administrative Assistant for HTX Connect 713. Through the years, he has had the opportunity to take instruction from Terrill Mitchell, Nan Giordano, Cesar Salinas, Al Blackstone, Travis Lake, Adele Nickel, Francisco Graciano, Takehiro Ueyama, Dual Rivet, Nicole Von Arx, Christian Denice, Madison Hicks,Tammy D**e Compton and many more. Aidan is most thankful for his supportive family and numerous dance instructors who have contributed to his art form.

Princess camps at Dayton Academy of Dance!

👑 SESSION 1: June 15-18 9-11:30 AM
👑SESSION 2: July 20-23 9-11:30 AM

💵 Cost: $135 per camp
👯‍♀️Age: 2-8 (will be divided by age & MUST be potty trained)

▪️Each camp dancers will take a series of classes, learn a dance, do a daily craft, play lots of games, and eat a yummy lunch provided by us 💖
