Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸
This day gives all of us a chance to pause in remembrance of those who have passed on, whether in the line of duty or as veterans of our Armed Forces.

From studying abroad in Spain to gaining hands-on career experience, CoLA grad Anna Lawson made the most of her time at Wright State!✨
As a Communication major, Anna connected with CoLA's career consultant Lacey Loges, completed internships, and explored new perspectives through study abroad — all while graduating debt-free with a 4.0 GPA. Her story is a great example of how our students turn unique opportunities into meaningful experiences, and future success!
Asking questions, working hard and staying open to opportunity helped Anna Lawson graduate from Wright State this spring with a 4.0 GPA, study abroad experience, a marketing internship, and zero debt.
Anna credits Wright State's many resources and financial aid opportunities for getting her to this place. Every time she thought something was out of reach or downright impossible, the staff and advisors on campus would help her find a way to get where she wanted to be, through scholarships or other options she wasn't aware of.

🎓 Congratulations to Antwan Smith who graduated with a double major in Classics and Comparative Religion. During his time at WSU, Antwan has studied ancient Greek, Latin, Biblical literature, and the religious history of India, China, and the Mediterranean world. He has completed several independent studies in these areas, in addition to his regular coursework. Antwan is a true scholar and plans to attend graduate school in Christian theology with an emphasis on the Greek New Testament.
Great work, Antwan!

Join us at 7pm on May 6th for this beautiful concert in Wright State University Creative Arts Center's Schuster Hall!
Step into a concert alive with energy, color, and transformation! For the very first time, a Dayton Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra joins the String Principals Quartet. In this special event, feel the sparkle of birdsong and the crash of summer storms in Vivaldi’s “Spring” and “Summer,” then be charmed by the playfulness and lyric beauty of Dvořák’s Seven Interludes. It’s an afternoon of vivid storytelling through music—and the start of something new.

We at the CoLA Dean's office want to extend a special congratulations to an employee in our Dean's office who is graduating this semester, Ms. Kate Dengg!

Kate's research interests include writing, editing, and the relationship between literature and culture. Over her academic career, Kate had the privilege of being inducted in the National Honor Society, working in the College of Liberal Arts office and traveling abroad to the Stratford Theatre Festival!
Congrats, Kate, and we're beyond excited to see all that you accomplish! (For those curious, her pup's name is Cosmo!)
