March is National Reading Month, a time to encourage people of all ages to read and enjoy literacy activities. The month is celebrated in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2nd. Because of this we did a Dr Seuss day at preschool with activities based off different books Our preschoolers loved listening to the books followed by exploring the books through play!

Our registration is now open for our classes next year. We have a limited amount of spaces left and we would love to have your little learner join us. Little Learners Preschool is here for parents who want to know their child will gain the knowledge, confidence, and social skills needed to be successful as they start school. We celebrated National Library Week by learning about libraries and having our own little library. My little leaners were so cute being little librarians and library patrons.

We had fun learning about opposites last month. In our dramatic play area the preschoolers were able to wash, iron and organize and sort a closet full of small clothes and large clothes. We had our town play mat out with large houses and cars as well as small houses and cars. Finally in our sensory bin we played with cold and warm water beads.

Our August dates for Little Learners Music Group. This class is taught by Paige Dent, a Board Certified Music Therapist. I'm excited to announce a summer music program being held at Little Learners Preschool. This class will be taught by my daughter Paige Dent. Paige is a Board Certified Music Therapist. She will use music to work on motor skills, social skills, academic learning, and music skills. This will be held at the preschool. She will offer a class each month of the summer. The current class will be for children 2 1/2 years old to 5 years old. She can also start a class for older children by request.
