There are many benefits to learning about animals for preschoolers, including:
Developing empathy
Children can learn to understand the feelings and needs of other living beings by observing animals and caring for them. This can help them develop empathy and compassion, which can improve their relationships with others.
Learning responsibility
Caring for an animal teaches children how to be responsible and take care of something other than themselves.
Building environmental awareness
Learning about animals can help children connect with the natural world and become caring and responsible citizens.

Seed planting with preschoolers is an excellent way to teach them about the life cycle of plants. It's a fun, hands-on activity that will keep them engaged and help them learn. With the help of a bit of gardening, seed planting with the kids can be a creative and informative gateway to discovering more about the life cycles of plants and so much more.
In the preschool classroom Ms.Candic helped the children make greenhouses. We used flowers that we found on our nature walk last week to make flower books. This week they planted seeds in their greenhouses. Over the weeks we will continue to watch our seeds and talk about the seed cycles.

Our preschool classroom made flower collages out of our finds on our nature walk. Going on a nature walk and deliberately noticing things encourages children to observe with all their senses. A nature walk can help your child learn to focus their attention and take in the details of things around them. It can also be a peaceful, reflective experience for you and your child.
We have officially moved into our new center. We currently have spots for toddlers and preschoolers. Please contact us at 937-723-7344 for enrollment information.
