I have been in choir for 7 semesters, 5 semesters in the Treble Chorus with Prof. Minneman and 4 semesters of Collegiate Chorale with Dr. Dahlman and Dr. Nagir. Choir has always felt like family to me and I’m thankful for all the bonds and memories I have made at Wright State. One of the most memorable experiences in choir was singing Considering Matthew Shepard in the Spring semester of 2023 for spreading love and awareness.
My plans for after college is to go back to my old school - Oakstone Academy to teach general music.
Congratulations, Gianna!!!

I spent 4 years in choir -my freshman year in Women's Chorale with Professor Minneman and my Sophomore-Senior years in Collegiate Chorale with Dr. Dahlman and Dr. Nagir.
One of my most memorable moment in choir was the 12 days of Christmas senior highlight piece. This was just super fun to perform, and made ending my senior year choir experience with lots of laughs and smiles!
Moving forward, I’m on the job hunt! Applying for teaching jobs and looking for more gigs to perform in is what is in store for me for the immediate future!
Congratulations, Carmen!!!

Graduate Spotlight - Samantha Leal
I have sung in Collegiate Chorale for 5 years, Treble Chorus for 1 semester, and University Chorus for 1 semester.
Choir is always where I have found my home, and I found one in each person I have met in Collegiate. Singing “Meet Me Here” for our Spring 2023 concert is a moment I will never forget or recreate again, and it’s memories like those that will stick with students forever.
I’ll be working full-time at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton as a medical laboratory scientist while singing in regional music groups such as Dayton Opera. I’m planning to go back to school and get a master's in music, though!
Congratulations, Sam!!!

Graduate Spotlight - Olivia Fasnacht
While at Wright State University, I was in college choir for 4 years (2 years in Treble Chorus and 2 years in Collegiate Chorale). One of my favorite memories from choir is when we sang Craig Hella Johnson's Considering Matthew Shepard for the first time - Spring '23. "Ordinary Boy" was my favorite movement. Everyone was passionate that semester about all the music we present and it was beautiful. In the fall 2024, I plan to continue my education at the University of Dayton pursuing a Music Therapy equivalency.
Congratulations, Olivia!
