And that is a wrap on the first semester of the year has come to and end. Crazy to think we are halfway through the year. Kids will be on their way home for Christmas break.

Two weeks before the end of the semester and the start of Christmas break.
This Sabbath as we start surrounding ourselves more and more with the reminder of Jesus's birth and the meaning of giving, we hope that you are blessed and are given the opportunity to bless others.
Happy Sabbath!

We have so many things to be thankful for! But to just name a few: Our horsemanship students, our horses, the ability to have the program that we have, the memories we make, the challenges we grow from, the successes we get to celebrate, the joy that is brought to our day, and so much more. Happy Thanksgiving!

Matthew 5:16 NIV
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
This coming week, how can you let the light of God shine in you in such a way that can help make a difference in our world today?

Happy Sabbath everyone!

Week 2
1= the horses enjoying their Sabbath day off.
2= at sunset meds we had a wonderful sunset with the clouds and rays of sunlight.
3= making a run to turn bottles in. The funds we get from turning in bottles we put towards scholarships our horse program is putting together to help students in being able to attend Milo. Many of our bottles are donations from those off campus which is a huge blessing for our program.
4= getting more practice in leading horses and getting the hang of using a quick release knot for tying up horses.
5= V playing with Remi before class started
6= Horses have arrived!!!! We will be getting our last 3 in next week. So happy to have most of the kids in and giving the students more of an opportunity to get to work with more horses with different personalities.
7= with getting the horses in we have more tack arriving. Great time to clean out the tack room.
8= horsemanship B getting to go greet new horses and see how the different personalities and energy levels play into the horses lives and pecking order. Seeing how horses communicate and how we can apply that to our work with them.
9 & 10= it was in the mid 90s today, some of the horses were happy with getting sprayed by the water.

Week1
Paisley following E during a approaching, haltering, and leading lesson
E: “Why is she following me”
Me: “I think she likes you”
E: “Well I don’t” as a slight smile started to show on his face.
Paisley was following E because she wasn’t too interested in getting caught and knew that E wasn’t wanting to catch her since he was supposed to be going with another student to get Janey. E is learning the skills of working and being around horses in an open space, since just learning how to ask a horse to move away from him he wasn’t quite sure how to handle the situation. Once given instructions on what to do you could see a slight smile come across his face.

Sometimes we face things in life that seem scary to us and we can’t handle it. But many times we feel that way because we don’t have the right tools/experience to know what to do to fix the situation or just work through it. Thankfully God is always there with us through those times and helps put people in our lives who can help guide us through those times.
Psalms 46:1 Have a good weekend and a Happy Sabbath!

Excited to have had our first class of the school year! Not all our horses have arrived back from Big Lake Youth Camp but they will be soon. Bugs, Janey, and Paisley are holding down the fort in the meantime.
