Today, we had the privilege of recognizing three incredible members of the Dawson-Boyd team as our 2026 Best of the Blackjacks honorees!
🌟 Sharon Vick, Community Partner
Sharon brings genuine care to her work as a volunteer grandparent and builds relationships that make Dawson-Boyd feel like a community. She notices people, listens, helps without hesitation, and makes students, staff, and families feel welcome and valued. Her kindness, commitment, and service reflect the heart of what it means to be a Blackjack.
💛 Cindy Aafedt, Support Professional
For 11 years, Cindy has supported students with patience, compassion, and care. She takes time to understand what each student needs and helps them build confidence and independence. Cindy is also the coworker who steps in, helps out, and makes our school a better place.
🍎 Cali Anderson, Teacher
Cali leads with kindness, patience, and a deep love for her students. She helps children feel safe asking questions, celebrates their successes, and makes sure they know they belong. As one colleague shared so beautifully: “Our Cali. Our Angel.”
These three honorees represent something we value deeply at Dawson-Boyd: people who make others feel seen, heard, valued, and supported.
