Mrs. Hill’s PE Shout Outs for August 24–28!

Yesterday, our 3rd–6th grade students participated in an important Hygiene Presentation during PE.

A special thank you to Nurse Dotson and Mrs. Hill for taking the time to educate our students and provide them with valuable information about the importance of personal hygiene and healthy habits.

We appreciate the opportunity to help our students grow both inside and outside the classroom!

Fall Portrait Days are coming up at Dawson ISD!

We will be photographing every student, and these portraits will also be used in the yearbook.

No pre-ordering is required. A proof envelope will be sent home with each student within two weeks of Picture Day, and orders can be placed directly from the proof envelope.

Parents also have the option to order and pay online, making it easy to purchase portraits without sending cash or checks to school.

A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY HEROES

Dawson Elementary would like to give a special thank you to Matt Porter for helping out with morning drop-off and assisting our staff and students as they arrive on campus.

We are grateful for the support and presence of the Navarro County Sheriff's Office and all they do to help keep our students, staff, and community safe.

As a small token of our appreciation, Mrs. McCurlie presented Matt with a basket of goodies to say thank you for his service and support.

The Battle of HWY 31 is coming up, and you can show your Bulldog pride with the official Battle of HWY 31 T-shirt!

Youth and adult sizes are available for $20, with an additional $3 for adult 2X–5X sizes.

Orders are due Wednesday, September 3, 2026.

Payment can be made by cash or check. Checks should be made payable to Dawson ISD.

Be sure to get your order in by the deadline and get ready to represent the Bulldogs for the Battle of HWY 31!

Senior Night is coming up, and we want to make sure all of our participating seniors are properly recognized!

Senior Night will take place Friday, November 6, before kickoff. This year, Senior Night recognition will be for seniors involved in our Friday Night Lights activities: Football, Band, Drill Team, and Cheerleaders.

There will be a Senior Night practice on Wednesday, November 4, during the school day. This will allow us to make sure all names are pronounced correctly and that we have all the information needed for Friday night.

The Senior Night Information Form is posted in Google Classroom and must be completed and turned in to Mrs. Weatherby no later than Friday, October 23.

Please make sure the form is completed by the deadline. We need this information in order to prepare and finalize the Senior Night script. Late forms may not be able to be included in the script.
