Honoring Indigenous Voices at Louhelen

There are moments when a space becomes more than a place…
It becomes a living expression of history, identity, and spirit.

At the Louhelen Bahá’í Center of Learning, we recently gathered in a beautiful spirit of respect and connection for an Indigenous gathering, where stories were shared, traditions were honored, and hearts came together in unity.

Voices carried wisdom across generations.
Silence held meaning.
Presence itself became a form of learning.

In a world that often moves too fast, this gathering reminded us to slow down… to listen deeply… and to recognize the richness and dignity of Indigenous cultures and perspectives.

We are grateful for every soul who brought their spirit, their story, and their light into this space.

May we continue to walk together in unity, learning from one another, and honoring the sacredness of every culture.

We look forward to welcoming you to future gatherings at Louhelen.

Resonance: An Arts Gathering at Louhelen
A space for music, creativity, and unity

Songs of Unity Dinner - April 2026

There are moments when music becomes more than sound…
It becomes a bridge between hearts.

These beautiful souls gathered at Louhelen Bahá’í Center of Learning in a spirit of unity, joy, and connection.
Each note, each voice, each presence added something meaningful to the space.

In a world that often feels divided, we came together to remember something deeper: that we belong to one human family.

We look forward to welcoming you to the next gathering… come share, listen, and be part of this beautiful space of unity. ✨

Many friends, when visiting Louhelen, have been amazed by the craftsmanship of the furniture in the library. This past weekend when dear Stacy Townsley-Kestin were attending the regional reservoir cluster gathering, she shared that her Dad, Ronald "Ron" Reeves Shufflebarger (1945-2025), was the one who built the library furniture during his service at Louhelen in early 1990s.

Ron expressed his creativity and earned a living through the design and construction of furniture, crafting pieces that were both practical and works of art. His artistic spirit also shone through his professional photography, where he skillfully captured the beauty of nature, expansive landscapes, and the meaningful moments of daily life. We are honored to have such an exquisite collection of his furniture at Louhelen! His spirit and dedication to the Blessed Beauty shines through their presence and keeps the readers accompany for generations to come!
