UC-Berkeley and UC Cooperative Extension are seeking input from livestock producers and interested parties who live in California on the future of wolf-livestock compensation.

This map provides an illustration of confirmed and probable wolf depredations and attacks in the Sierra Valley region between March 7, 2025 and August 20, 2025.

Documenting these events helps ranchers, agencies, and community members better understand patterns of predation and the challenges facing working lands.

Impacted ranchers have provided government investigation reports to UC Cooperative Extension to document impacts.
