Interestingly, this guitar was owned by Richard Bachman.
The song “American Woman” was performed by The Guess Who. The lead singer was Burton Cummings, and the guitarist who came up with the iconic riff was Randy Bachman.

Hofner 496 circa 1965.
Made in Germany.
Rare top of the line.
Old-growth German spruce top and flamed maple
sides and back.
Hofner's acoustic in this period had a 7.25" radius, which is the
same as a Vintage Strat from 50s or 60s. It feels great in my
hands.
Surprisingly, because of the maple (I'm assuming) it sound like a
jazz axe.
And so pretty.

How we practice is how we play. They say it on the basketball court, part of our music lessons.
We emphasize playing every note with as much beauty and feeling as possible. If we practice mechanical exercises, we will sound
mechanical, whereas if we practice with feeling, we will sound beautiful.
We learn to understand music theory. It's not that complicated, and playing what we understand is much easier.

As you can see, we have replaced our piano with an 1885 Steinway Upright Grand. This was painstakingly restored to its original glory
a one of a kind custom-made instrument.
While instruments like this are usually found in museums, my students get to play on this historical instrument.
It stands 5'7" tall and is an upright grand piano with a string length matching a Steinway Grand.
I teach my students to understand music, nurture creativity, and explore a wide variety of music.
Lessons are customized for each student's needs and learning style. While most of my students are school or college-age, I enjoy working with children as young as 3 and taking a long-term approach. It's amazing when these children reach junior high and become stars; many get scholarships to college for their music.

Personally, I have the soul of a Jazz Bass player, though I played
guitar longer and love playing keyboards. However, my left hand
is messed up, so these days I'm a Choir Director and teach.
