REEd at UC Davis School of Education Resourcing Excellence in Education is a university-based intermediary with ties to the education community, located within the UC Davis School of Education

Formerly known as the CRESS Center, REEd supports excellence in K-16 education systems by building capacity to meet the needs of California’s children and youth. At REEd, we believe that all students should be guaranteed high-quality instruction and a nurturing school environment. We are committed to moving research findings into practice and to building the capacity of education systems to reduce

inequities and to improve teaching and learning. REEd’s mission is aligned with the UC Davis School of Education’s strategic vision and with the leading edge of needs in California and the nation. We have developed a framework to guide the scope of our activities consisting of two distinct yet complementary areas of focus: the Networked Improvement Community (NIC) and Education Support Services (ESS). The NIC provides a platform to test promising programs, tools, and practices that will be offered in the form of direct services through ESS.
