Why Lambdas?
“I joined Lambda Theta Phi because I always felt welcomed and supported by this organization. Ever since I met the brothers, they have supported me throughout my academic journey and always made sure I was included in different activities and events. I also wanted to find a support system that I could relate to as a first-generation Latino man. My background is an important part of my identity, and I felt that brothers in this fraternity understood it, and many also came from similar upbringings. I realized that joining this fraternity would not only provide the support I needed but also offer a chance for personal and professional growth through its philanthropy and commitment to forging strong, disciplined Latino men. Having now joined this fraternity, I look forward to our genuine brotherhood and to continue growing and learning with my brothers.”

Why Lambdas?
“I joined Lambdas because I wanted to be closer with my Gente Latino here in UCD. Meeting the brothers brought me more closer with them and learn more about them. These brothers exhibit a sense of belonging, they were able to relate to what I do and go through since we all share the same background and experiences. They welcomed me with open arms as if they were my family, which showed that they really care about brotherhood. Growing up I didn’t have someone to look up to since I was the oldest sibling, but with these brothers I am able to look up to them and learn from their experiences. These brothers really present themselves as strong leaders, which is something I want to be apart of and continue to grow in the future.”
