Data from this anonymous survey will be used directly to inform our school’s Climate Committee and School Site Council’s decision-making process for our School Plan for Student Achievement. César Chávez Elementary has 549 families and so far 10% (54 families) have submitted their responses. This survey should only take 15 minutes, and if you have more than one child who attends the same school you may complete the survey for each child.

Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. is our Cesar Chavez Elementary Kindergarten Information night! This meeting will be held by Zoom for incoming, new and currently enrolled parents. We hope to see you there!

In preparation for pick-up:
• Make and post a sign in your car window with your children’s last name(s), grade(s) and teacher(s) name clearly written on it. Place this sign on the front passenger dashboard or window of your car so our staff can easily read it.
All items assembled will have been quarantined for up to 72 hours. You will receive these items in a bag labeled with student’s last name, first name:
• Essential materials and curriculum for your child/children to support Distance Learning

If you arrive at school on foot or bike, please form a line (maintaining six-feet of distance from other families) at the designated spots for pick up or drop off.
We ask that everyone:
• Please wear a face covering as you arrive on campus. Staff will be wearing face coverings, as well.
• Please pay careful attention to the social distancing protocols we have put in place to ensure a safe and pleasant pick-up of materials.

Davis’ own student-based youth mariachi group, Mariachi Puente, led by Hiram and Ximena Jackson created a musical montage to celebrate National Hispanic-Latinx Heritage Month and México Independence Day. It is wonderful to see many of our CCE alumni take pride in their musical Sí se puede.

School Site Council Online Voting Form
All Parent Representative Candidate Statements for the 2020-21 CCE School Site Council are presented in this Form. Please review each statement carefully in Sections 2 – 7 first before making your vote. You may vote for up to four candidates. The School Site Council Election has been extended due to the upcoming Labor Day weekend (no school on Monday, Sept. 7). Voting will close on Tuesday, September 8 at 3:30 p.m. and elected members will be announced on September 10.
