Nov 1 (Online) - Sovandara Chhin will be sharing how she helps her K/1 students find their voices and opinions about their community through writing. Great for all Elementary grades!

Nov 4 (In-person) - Hannah Hohle is sharing how she teaches students to look for the dominant and hidden narratives through identification of passive voice. Ideal for 6-12th grades.

Applications are open for the Invitational Leadership Institute for the Teaching of Writing. The summer institute brings teachers of diverse backgrounds together to examine and critique research, discuss writing practices, and engage in professional and personal writing.

The Director/Academic Coordinator II develops and oversees an ambitious program of professional development and leadership training for teachers and school administrators in the greater Sacramento region.

Super Saturdays are back! Join us for our kickoff event featuring a conversation with Ralph Fletcher, author of "Joy Write," followed by grade level sessions (TK-2, 3-6, & 7-12).

In breakout sessions, current classroom teacher presenters will discuss ways to infuse joy back into writing, establish routines that build a community of writers, and share concrete strategies to use with students.
